November - May. Equipment - crab nets (hardware store - Cowell $40). Bait - fish frames (hardware store - Cowell $10). Method Shore based - carry out 30-40m, drop net with bait firmly attached to bottom of net, check net every 15-20 minutes or quicker. Boat based - drop nets in 9-13 foot water, check every 5-10 minutes. Minimum size 13cm across carapace. Catch limit - 20 per person per day.

All year, best November - May. Equipment - Shore-based - 10’ beach rod, whiting rig (hardware store - Cowell $10). Bait - squid, blood worms, pilchards (hardware store - Cowell $10). Method - cast out 30-50m, check bait every 30 mins. Boat based - short rods, light line, whiting rig, try near the Lucky Bay point or just off the Ferry Channel directly out from shack 34. Minimum size 32cm. Catch limit - 10 per person per day.

Method - cast out 30-50m, watch for float to sink, retrieve gently. Boat based - short rods, light line, squid jig over weed beds, float depth 3-5 foot. Directly out from shack 34. Minimum size nil. Catch limit - 15 per person per day.
